TERMS OF PARTICIPATION & CONTENT.
This preview explains the intended experience. Live registration will require reviewed policies and participation documents. No waiver or media release is signed here.
Draft version: v3-unified-terms-preview-2026-09-26.
ONE APPLICATION. ONE AGREEMENT.
Registration requires a completed fighter application and acceptance of these Terms. A fighter profile is part of every registration, whether Public or Private and whether or not you buy the optional content package. If you do not accept the Terms, you cannot register. This preview does not create a real account or binding acceptance.
RECORDING, EDITING AND CONTENT OWNERSHIP
The intended service model is that Punch Mentality records sessions, edits footage, creates highlights and maintains fighter portfolios. Acceptance includes permission to capture your image, voice and participation for those purposes.
Punch Mentality retains ownership of session recordings, photographs and edits that it produces and for which it holds the necessary production rights. To the extent you own copyright in material specifically created as part of those productions, the proposed agreement assigns those rights to Punch Mentality. Buying a package provides the agreed deliverables and usage rights, not ownership of the underlying production. Choosing Private does not transfer ownership back to a participant.
This provision does not claim ownership of your identity, personal information, or pre-existing videos you link in an application. Final copyright assignments and agreements with camera operators, editors and other contributors must be completed before this ownership model is represented as legally secured.
PUBLIC OR PRIVATE
Public: under these Terms, you authorize Punch Mentality to display your agreed profile information and use your recorded image, voice and session content on its website, social media, YouTube, promotional materials and advertising, including agreed partner-gym promotion. These uses are covered by the single acceptance, without a separate checkbox for each channel.
Private: your application and fighter profile still exist, and recording, editing, storage and the ownership provisions still apply. Your identifiable profile and footage are excluded from public pages, social media, YouTube and advertising. Private is a publication restriction, not an exemption from the Terms or a purchase of content ownership.
Shared footage may be considered for publication only when both participants have accepted the applicable Terms and both have Public visibility. A participant choosing Private keeps shared identifiable footage unpublished. Ownership does not override this restriction.
THE FORMAT
Punch Mentality plans controlled, coach/referee-supervised sparring. There is no scoring, winner, loser or public sparring ranking. Either participant or the referee can stop a session.
REVIEW AND CONFIRMATION
An application is not a booking. Participation depends on an appropriate partner, coach approval and on-site clearance. The actual weight, equipment and readiness checks take place before sparring.
GEAR AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Headgear, a mouthguard, wraps, groin protection and suitable gloves are required. 16 oz gloves are the default; 14 oz requires coach approval. Participants must provide accurate information and follow the coach/referee’s instructions.
AGE
Standard participation is 18+. Under-18 applications require individual review. No youth application can be confirmed until a separate guardian procedure and required permissions are in place.
PRICING
Approved participation is free during the pilot. The optional $69 test content offer does not affect eligibility. Scope, delivery, payment and revision terms must be confirmed before a sale. This preview collects no payment.
BEFORE PARTICIPATION OPENS
Sparring carries risk. A final participation agreement must address the format, risks, stop authority, responsibilities, cancellation/no-show rules and youth procedure. The waiver, legal and insurance arrangements remain subject to separate review. This overview is not a waiver or clearance to spar.
The final agreement must identify the contracting entity, contact details, territorial and time scope of licenses, participant usage rights, payment/refund terms and the process for changing visibility or requesting removal. Applicable rights and legal requirements remain in effect. Adult acceptance cannot replace a required parent/guardian procedure.
